The Acai Affect

Just the other week I had the chance to visit this lovely cafe located in the heart of Bentleigh. It was quite a warm day outside so I was quite excited to get some refreshments in me in the form of acai bowls and Smoothies! Upon arrival I was captivated by the floral decor, friendly staff, and the extensive menu... that even gives customers the chance to customise their own acai bowls! There is literally something for everybody here! I was definitely hungry at this point and decided to order the Soul Good acai bowl and the P.B.S.B warm bowl to eat, and ordered the Another PB smoothie and Summer Cold pressed juice to drink! I was ecstatic with my choices as the portion sizes were very generous, and each mouthful was packed with a punch of flavours. My taste buds were running wild! If you're ever nearby or like to travel for some good food, I highly reccomend this little cafe! Especially with the summer months coming up... this would be the perfect spread for those summer days!

I recently visited The Acai Effect and had an absolutely delightful experience! I ordered the Energizer Bowl along with a Long Black Coffee, and both were exceptional. The acai bowl was fresh, flavorful, and perfectly balanced - a true testament to their commitment to quality ingredients. The coffee was robust and complemented the meal wonderfully. What stood out most, though, was the friendly service. The staff made me feel like I was at a friend’s house rather than a restaurant, adding a personal touch that you don’t often find. This welcoming atmosphere, combined with the delicious food, made my visit memorable. I highly recommend The Acai Effect to anyone looking for fresh, tasty, and healthy options served with a smile. Can’t wait to go back and try more from their menu!

Usually not one to order an acai bowl, I’m now a huge fan of acai bowl of all sorts thanks to Acai Affect. My friend and I had the pleasure of sharing the Soul Good bowl, and a customised bowl that comprised of kiwis, raspberries, mangoes, passionfruit pulp and of course, peanut butter. The acai base here is blended to a smooth and creamy perfection, not too runny yet not too thick. Topped with the crunchy goodness of buckini, each bowl presented wonderful texture and flavours. The smoothies were just as stunning. Lovely consistency that is absolutely satisfying to drink, and the most amazing flavours. The Tropical Love smoothie was bursting with tart and bright flavours courtesy of the passionfruit and mango, and the sweetness of the dragonfruit and strawberries provide the perfect backdrop to this drink. The Another PB smoothie is one for peanut butter lover with its pronounced peanut butter flavour. Of course, juices and raw treats are also available here, as well as sweet and savoury toasts. I’m definitely keen to return to slowly work my way through the menu.

Always satisfied with what you order every time. : I’d opt for the Soul Good Bowl more than the other as I love the combination of chocolate sauce, fruits, chocolate gojiberries, raspberry with crunchy chocolate buckini and an extra portion of blueberry and a scoop of peanut butter. Was invited to try the acai bowls and they are one of the best in Melbourne. The texture is a very important aspect for an acai bowl and they got it spot on. Even after all photos on a warm day it still had the sorbet consistency. Available in three sizes, everything was made fresh including the smoothies and juice which are absolutely refreshing. Highly recommend the soul good bowl for it's chocolatey goodness.

Located on the busy strip in Bentleigh is this healthy cafe which serves a whole range of acai bowls along with smoothies and baked goods in the display window. There was quite a good range on the menu and I really enjoyed the different options. They have a simple decor with both seating areas inside and outside. We decided on the customized bowl and the soul good bowl and went with the tropical love and another PB smoothie. I love my flavours and what matters is having a healthy bowl without compromising the flavours. I really enjoyed the maxi bowls here as the portions are good and the ingredients used were fresh and the include nuts which gives it the extra crunch. The staff has a good knowledge of the different mixture of ingredients, if you want to go with the customized bowls you can ask for recommendations. If you love peanut butter like me, you do not want to go past the soul good bowl. The peanut butter tasted really good and it’s homemade, it has amazing flavours and the texture was crunchy. Love how they are generous with peanut butter as well. The smoothies were good and there is a nice balance of flavours within the ingredients. Overall, I really enjoyed their bowls and smoohies. What sets it apart from other acai bowls is the fresh and good quality ingredients that are used in store.

Acai bowls with a good range of toppings for a good value. I built my own bowl with buckinis, banana, strawberries, blueberries, coconut yogurt and peanut butter. Loved their house-made crunchy peanut butter, but the fruit could’ve tasted fresher. Acai bowl tasted refreshing and had a nice consistency, not too sweet.
